A little bit about me...

I have been married for 27 years to my 2nd Husband. From my first marriage I have
2 children and 3 grand-children. I also have 4 step-children and a step-grandson. I was an only child but was lucky to have my Grandma live with us my entire childhood. I am so grateful for her bonus wisdom and nurturing in my life. My parents were wonderful and I have had a very blessed life.

For 23 years I worked in Corporate America as a Sales Manager. I loved working alongside someone,  Training and Coaching them towards success.

Over the years I found that I had a Helper's Heart and wanted to give to others. I have always been that friend that others came to when they needed emotional support or an honest response.

I am very active in my Christian Faith and trained and served as a Lay Counselor for 9 years. As a Lay Counselor I worked with people that presented with an issue and helped to facilitate them to visualize what they needed to accomplish. I loved working with my Counselees, especially those that were struggling with some type of Grief or Loss in their life. Letting them see that there was hope where they had often had none.

When that Ministry came to an end I was drawn to becoming a Chaplain. I attended the Academy and served for 3 years as a Community Chaplain. Community Chaplains with LECS support all of the Law Enforcement Agencies that serve the Greater Sacramento County. Comforting during Traumatic  Response as well as delivering Death Notifications for the Coroner amongst other tasks. 

While as a Chaplain I saw only those beginning minutes or hours of the Grief process. 
I decided to put all of my experiences together and train to be able to assist those that are stuck or having a hard time working through any type of Grief or Loss. Even what we might consider a small loss can sometimes catch us by surprise and leave us feeling like we are alone.
